In 2002 I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and was promptly told by a career counselor that I would never get a job with that particlar degree.  So I hit the road with my brother as an acoustic duo called Jakob Freely.  We moved around the country, slept in our cars, stole breakfast from hotels, built a little following, started a regionally popular festival, found a backing band, stole a spot in an indie film, released four records, and well - we "made it."  

By that I mean we made music into a full time career. 

Then my son was born and I wanted to see him grow, so I stopped it all to spend time with my family.  Went back and got an MBA - started consuming books like wildfire - got lucky enough to learn some stuff from Hubspot and changed directions a bit in regards to my career.

Fast forward a bunch of years and now I work as an Inbound Marketing Strategist and Consultant to a few different businesses.

It's super fun.  Plus, I still get to play some music too ;)
